About The Graduate School
Working with departments and units across campus, the Graduate School ensures the quality of academic programs and graduate student life. The Graduate School also functions as an admissions office for all prospective degree-seeking and non-degree seeking graduate students and as an academic records and service office for enrolled students. Additionally, through its Office of Recruitment and Student Support and the Office of the Dean, the Graduate School administers a variety of competitive grant, fellowship, assistantship, and tuition waiver programs.
Tuition Waiver Programs
Northern Illinois University awards tuition waivers in order to aid in the achievement of the university mission and to further state-wide goals for higher education in the State of Illinois. Through competitive processes, waivers are awarded under the following programs: Recruitment, McNair Scholars, Under-Represented Minority and Artistic Talent (only available to students admitted to Art, Music or Theatre programs). February 15, 2015: Deadline for submission of application and relevant supporting material, if required.
February 25, 2015: Deadline for departments to submit recommendations for applicants to a waiver program.
Students in Art, Music or Theatre should contact the graduate coordinator in their respective departments for Artistic Talent Tuition Waiver application deadlines.
Step 1) Make sure to click on the signup button at the top of the page.
Step 2) Once you complete the signup process, you'll get an email to confirm your registration. Make sure to check your spam box just in case! Please add us to your safe sender list so that you can continue to receive messages from us.
Step 3) Upload all application materials on the site as per the instructions you'll see when you log in.
